Shutter stuck, noisy or not closing?
Most faults are fixed without replacing the shutter. Curtains that have jumped their guides, weak springs, failed motors, faulty key switches and damaged laths can all be repaired, on most makes of shutter and industrial door.

What do security shutters cost?
Most fitted security shutters cost from £445 + VAT (£534 inc VAT) for a small manual window shutter to £4,495 + VAT for a wide electric shopfront shutter. Industrial and insulated doors run from £2,495 to £11,995 + VAT. Width, electric operation, lath type and finish make the biggest difference.

Is the survey free?
Yes, for new shutters, grilles and doors: the survey and written quote are free and there is no obligation to go ahead. Repair and servicing visits are charged, and we tell you the price before we visit.
Are your prices fixed?
Yes. After the survey you get a written price for the agreed specification, confirmed before anything is ordered or any work starts. If you change the specification, or a hidden problem such as a weak lintel is found during fitting, we price it and agree it with you before carrying on.
Do your guide prices include VAT?
Guide prices are shown both excluding VAT and including VAT at the standard rate of 20%. For a home, the price including VAT is what you pay.
Who carries out the work?
Work is carried out by experienced shutter engineers working for S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, which is the company your contract is with.
Do you repair shutters fitted by other companies?
Yes. We repair and service most makes of roller shutter, grille and industrial door, whoever fitted them.
